About the Event
Come on out to Lubee Bat Conservancy for a painting party AND a private behind the scenes tour to meet some of the world’s giant fruit bats up close and personal! Local artist, Samm Wehman Epstein of Samm Wehman Art will lead you as you paint your favorite pet/animal/bat!
The first 3 hours will consist of a painting party where you paint your pre-selected animal portrait. Samm, who has donated her time and talents to Lubee, will pre-sketch your canvas and "guide" your brush strokes as you add paint and create your own masterpiece. All art supplies are provided. Bats are not present during the painting session.
After your masterpiece is created, you'll take part in a behind the scenes tour led by one of Lubee's bat experts, while meeting our fabulous animals! FACE MASKS ARE required to be able to step into the enclosure with the bats and meet them up close. No mask, no meeting the bats up close. 🤷♀️
Tickets are a $75 donation to Lubee Bat Conservancy. 100% of the proceeds support Lubee’s bats, and our conservation and education programs. Spaces are limited and pre-registration is required to participate. No walk ups available.
Ages 10 years and up.
Children 15 and under need to be accompanied by a participating adult.
Children 16 and older may attend without a participating adult.
Don’t forget to email Samm at firstname.lastname@example.org with a screenshot of your ticket and a picture of your chosen animal by April 30th. Otherwise you'll receive a blank canvas to paint on.
If you’re an animal lover, this event is absolutely for you!
