Every time you visit with Lubee Bat Conservancy

you are helping save species

Lubee Bat Conservancy offers a unique educational opportunity for students to learn about and view some of the largest and most endangered bats in the world. Students will be engaged with a grade appropriate presentation aligned with FL State Standards geared for ages 4 to 18 years old.

Our Zoom Classroom will consist of an introduction to our bats, bat enrichment encounter, and Q & A. Each Zoom Classroom will be tailored to your class to fit your current course of study.

Lubee houses 200 bats representing 13 species, including the Malayan Flying Fox which can attain a wingspan of 6'.  The majority of our bats are frugivorous, while our Florida native bats are insectivores. Your class will be introduced to both Mega and Micro bats and to their reptile friends.

Lubee’s Zoom Classroom is available Monday through Friday, 11am to 2pm EST. Classroom times and donation levels will vary based on the classroom presentation selected. Want to add more grade level classes to the presentation? No problem! Additional classes  can be added to a presentation date with a 25% discount off the total presentation donation amount. See form below for levels.

Adult presentations are also available Sunday through Saturday, 11am to 2pm EST. Presentation levels will be modified to your group size.

All presentations include a test call the day before the scheduled Zoom Classroom in which the Zoom Classroom Donation will be due after the test call is conducted.

A request form MUST be filled out, in order to secure your desired presentation date. We suggest you schedule up to 4 weeks in advance.  Check the Calendar below for available dates. Unavailable indicates another presentation is already scheduled.

{NOTE: During the winter months we may have to cancel and reschedule the presentation due to temperatures below 50°F at time of the scheduled presentation.}

The calendar is for reference only.

Dates may not be reflected on the calendar immediately and could be unavailable upon request.  Be flexible with your dates.

We are not able to accommodate same day presentation requests and require a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice.

Requests made over the weekend will not be answered until the next business day.
